Prime Minister Modi: The government is striving to strengthen the role of cooperatives in rural life

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his administration is attempting to establish cooperatives as a significant aspect of rural life. He claimed that after gaining traction in industries like dairy and sugar production, cooperatives are now being greatly expanded in areas like agriculture and fisheries.

Speaking with recipients of the current “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” he remarked that the previous ten years have seen a transformation in the lives of crores of people who have benefited from his government’s welfare programs. This transformation has been marked by bravery, fulfillment, and ambitions.

When Modi engages with individuals, he finds immense delight in seeing their confidence in themselves.

He announced at the yatra that one crore people had received “Ayushman” cards, which are health insurance policies provided by the government to the underprivileged. Over 70 lakh individuals have been tested for TB and 1.25 crore people have had health examinations.

Making fun of earlier administrations, he stated that potential recipients of these programs would have given up on visiting government buildings if circumstances had existed during their time in office.

He stated, “You no longer need nepotism or bribery to receive these benefits. Modi is like family to you.”

No connection is required.

He stated, “It is my ambition to create 2 crore women ‘lakhpati.’ In the ten years of his rule, 10 crore women have joined self-help organizations across the nation and have received Rs 7.5 lakh crore via banks.
