Rahul Gandhi Addresses an Indian-Origin Driver in the US While Riding Another Truck

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, recently drove from Washington to New York in a truck while on a trip to the United States. He had an open discussion with the Indian-origin driver about his daily life there.

Following a truck trip from Delhi to Chandigarh to hear about the issues facing Indian truck drivers, Gandhi travelled by truck on a recent visit to the United States.

The Congress leader travelled on a 190-km “American Truck Yatra” from Washington DC to New York with the driver Taljinder Singh Vicky Gill and his companion Ranjeet Singh Banipal as part of his ongoing mission to hear from people in India and abroad. The journey concluded with a delicious breakfast at a restaurant, according to a statement from the party.

A genuine heart-to-heart talk about the typical lifestyles of Indian-origin truck drivers in America was the highlight of the trip, much like his truck travel from Delhi to Chandigarh, according to the press release.

Gandhi observed throughout the trip that unlike in India, trucks in the US are constructed with the driver’s safety and comfort in mind.

It was made clear throughout the trip that, in contrast to their American colleagues, who are paid well for their work, domestic truck drivers struggle to make ends meet with pitiful pay and record price increases.

Gandhi said to Gill during their discussion of India’s politics, inflation, and increasing commodity prices that no faith promotes spreading hatred.

Along the trip, they also listened to music from Sidhu Moosewala.

We can learn a lot from the American truck business in order to create a fresh vision for the truck sector in India. The statement said, “Indian truck drivers are the backbone of our operations and deserve a life of dignity as well.

They actually are at the vanguard of “Bharat Jodo,” and their advancement is certain to have a favourable ripple effect on India’s whole economy, it said.

Last month, Gandhi took a truck from Delhi to Chandigarh. The previous head of the Congress was seen sitting inside a truck, riding with a driver, and conversing with truckers at a dhaba in pictures and videos.
