Rameshwaram Cafe Explosion: NIA Declares A Rs. 10 Lakh Cash Award For Bomber Information

New Delhi: In the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe explosion case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday offered a monetary reward of Rs. 10 lakh for information regarding the bomber. The identity of the informant will remain private, as the CIA has promised.

The NIA released a photo of the alleged bomber entering the café while wearing a mask, hat, and glasses on its official X (formerly Twitter) account. The agency released phone numbers and email addresses so that anybody with information on the unnamed person—who has become a main suspect—may contact them.

The NIA guaranteed the confidentiality of the informants’ identities.

Earlier this week, the NIA received control of the investigation into the explosion at the café. The explosion that occurred on March 1 at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield, East Bengaluru, wounded at least ten people.

It is believed that an improvised explosive device (IED) caused the explosion. The Explosives Substances Act and the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act were the first laws the Karnataka Police used to file a case, shortly after the explosion.

The NIA is a specialized investigative body that looks into situations involving terrorism. After the terrorist attacks in Mumbai on November 26, 2008, the agency was established.
