ready to start a new development chapter: Sonia Gandhi discusses the CWC event in Hyderabad

Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Congress, said that her party is prepared to start a new chapter in the growth of the nation and the state before the meeting of the Congress working committee in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, posted Sonia Gandhi’s message on Twitter (now known as X).

Sonia Gandhi said, “We had made a promise to the people of Telangana,” in reference to the split of Andhra Pradesh into the independent state of Telangana in 2014. We have kept our end of the bargain.

“A new age of development and wealth must now be ushered in for the state. For the benefit of all Telanganans and our country, the Congress Working Committee is prepared to start a new chapter of dignity-based development, she added.

Top Congress figures like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge will develop a strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in five states during the Congress Working Committee meeting, which began in Hyderabad with a flag-hoisting ceremony.

“This is the first CWC meeting after I took charge as the party president,” Kharge remarked before leaving for Hyderabad. Tomorrow will also include a lengthy working committee meeting where the party will be discussed. Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and all other top leaders of the Congress would be present at the meeting to discuss the impending elections in five states and make planning decisions, according to Kharge.

Before the conference, KC Venugopal, the national general secretary of the Congress party, predicted that the party will triumph in the impending elections for five state assemblies in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Telangana.

In at least two states, according to many pre-election polls, the Congress party has the advantage, and in at least two more states, the race is close.
