Rescue Operations are underway as a two-story building collapses in Junagadh, Gujarat

A two-story structure gave in to the power of nature and fell today, causing shockwaves to reverberate across the city. There are serious worries that 10 to 12 people may be trapped beneath the rubble as rescue workers race to the area after the calamity happened about 1:30 PM.

The area has been dealing with persistently heavy rain over the previous three days, and this unforeseen calamity made matters worse. The whole state of Gujarat is experiencing a downpour, and recent flooding in Junagadh has been quite severe.

The structure, which included apartments on the higher floors and businesses on the ground floor, was located in a busy market area. According to media sources, among those who are thought trapped may be innocent shoppers who were inadvertently there at the wrong moment while perusing the stores.

The neighborhood has come together to provide much needed help, enthusiastically taking part in rescue and relief operations. These people’s selfless actions serve as an example of the genuine meaning of solidarity amid tough circumstances.

The National Disaster reaction Force (NDRF) swiftly arrived at the scene, adding to the reaction by sending their professional teams to aid in the continuing activities. They are working assiduously to find and rescue any survivors using their specialized tools and skills.

According to preliminary investigations, the building’s structural weakness during the last several days may have been a result of the persistent and constant rain, which ultimately caused the catastrophic collapse.
