Scams and corruption would become India’s fate if Rahul Gandhi is elected prime minister: Amit Shah

Amit Shah, the union home minister, said on Friday that if Rahul Gandhi is elected prime minister, fraud and corruption would be India’s fate; but, if Modi is re-elected, fraudsters will be put behind bars.

In another attack on the Rajasthani Congress administration, he said that if a special court had been established in the Kanhaiya Lal murder case, which occurred in Udaipur last year, the culprits would already be hanging.

He said that the Ashok Gehlot administration to be the most corrupt in history and urged the populace to remove it from office in the next assembly elections.

The minister expressed certainty that the BJP will win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with 300 seats, forming a government in the state after the forthcoming assembly elections.

Speaking at a public event in Udaipur to showcase the accomplishments of the federal government during the last nine years, Shah said that India underwent a number of transformations during this time.

He made fun of opposition parties for gathering recently in Patna to plan a coordinated campaign for the Lok Sabha elections next year, claiming that those there were crooked and only concerned with their sons’ futures rather than the welfare of the public.

According to him, Sonia Gandhi wants Rahul Gandhi to become prime minister, Lalu Yadav wants Tejashwi Yadav to become prime minister, Mamata Banerjee wants her nephew Abhishek to become chief minister, and Ashok Gehlot wants his son Vaibhav Gehlot to become chief minister.

“If Rahul Gandhi is elected prime minister, fraud and corruption will be the country’s fate, and if Narendra Modi is re-elected, fraudsters will be put in jail,” he said.

Further criticising the Gehlot administration, he said that it was engaging in vote-bank politics and was to blame for the delay in the sentencing of those guilty for the death of Kanhaiya Lal.

Two men brandishing cleavers killed Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal on June 28 of last year after accusing him of disrespecting Islam for reportedly supporting banned BJP politician Nupur Sharma in online posts.

Shah said that the government should be “ashamed” for not providing protection for Kanhaiya Lal.

“Who failed to provide Kanhaiya with security? whose cops did nothing till he passed away. You didn’t even try to capture the suspects; the NIA had already apprehended them. And don’t tell lies, Gehlot Ji, about the charge sheet not having been submitted; I can vouch for the fact that it was filed on December 22, 2022. You (the state government) have the responsibility of establishing a special court so that the accused may be sentenced quickly.

“The Rajasthan government did not establish a special court because it believed the High Court, else the Kanhaiya Lal offenders would have been executed by now. He replied, “Shame on them (Congress), they play vote bank politics.

Shah said that under Rajasthan’s Congress government, members of the majority group were being taken advantage of.

“Modi banned PFI but in Gehlot’s rule, a rally of PFI was held in Kota, Hindu festival was stopped in Karauli, Sangh’s path sanchalan stopped, and 300-year-old Shiva temple was demolished in Alwar,” the man said.

“Even after so many years of independence, injustice is being done to the majority in our country by ignoring the Constitution out of a desire to win more votes. This is only possible for those who engage in vote-bank politics. The BJP doesn’t engage in vote-bank politics, he said.

He said that the Rajasthan High Court had exonerated the suspects in the 2008 Jaipur bomb bombing case as a result of a weak prosecution.

According to Shah, the BJP has begun thanksgiving yatras all across the nation as Modi’s nine years in office come to an end.

With the support he has observed while around the nation, he said, “Modi is going to become the prime minister with 300 seats.”

He said that the respect that Modi has on a global scale is not due to him or the BJP, but rather to the 130 crore citizens of the nation.

Before 2014, during Manmohan Singh’s administration, “Aaliya-Maliya-Jamaliya” (terrorists) from Pakistan used to enter India and carry out explosions, according to Shah. However, Pakistan made mistakes in Uri and Pulwama because this time, Narendra Modi was the prime minister and within ten days, air strikes and surgical strikes were carried out and terrorists in Pakistan were eliminated.

Shah launched a scathing assault on the Gehlot administration, claiming that it was engaging in vote-bank tactics and breaking all corruption records. The son of the state Congress president, according to his claims, is the exam’s highest scorer and that more than 19 recruitment test question papers have been leaked.

In response to CM Gehlot’s tour of several districts and inflation relief centres, Shah said that while Gehlot is wandering about in this day and age, the BJP will establish the government after the assembly elections.

Gehlot would understand that it is time for his administration to fall if someone gives him a recording of this meeting. Both in the assembly elections of 2023 and the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, the BJP would be able to create a majority government, he said.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a union minister, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, opposition leader Rajendra Rathore, deputy opposition leader Satish Poonia, and other politicians attended the meeting.
