The government has scheduled a worldwide Odia meeting for February

The state capital will host the first Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani in February. The three-day conference is expected to attract language specialists from all around the globe. At the heritage cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, a decision to this effect was made. The conference dates will be announced shortly, according to Aswini Kumar Patra, Minister of State for Odia Language, Literature, and Culture.

In December, during a cabinet meeting in Puri, the decision was made to organize Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani. The conference will include participation from Odia societies situated in different towns and nations throughout India. The Biswa Odia Sammilani is scheduled to take place in the same manner as the World Tamil Meet and World Kannada Meet.

The state government will arrange exhibits to highlight Odisha’s rich cultural legacy during the conference. Prominent specialists from all over the globe will be asked to participate in seminars on Odia art, culture, history, literature, and other pertinent subjects.

The conference will be open to students from all schools and institutions. Additionally, throughout the event, schools and universities will host programs in their buildings. The three-day conference, according to Chief Secretary PK Jena, would further Odia’s language and literary studies. Additionally, it will help the Odia language and literature become more widely known worldwide.

People who have worked on the Odia language from all over the globe will be attending the conference, according to Sujata Karthikeyan, secretary of the Department of Odia language, literature, and culture. She said that the main emphasis will be on youngsters and potential future difficulties for the Odia language.
