The Rail Link To Mata Shakambhari Siddhpeeth Is Being Built: Vaishnaw

Saharanpur, a district in western Uttar Pradesh, would have a train service to Mata Shakambhari Devi Siddhpeeth, according to railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday.

According to the minister, the survey for constructing the train route linking the Hindu pilgrimage site has begun.


The railway line project up to Shakambhari Siddhapeeth has been given the go-ahead, and Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned for the comprehensive project survey, according to Vaishnaw, who arrived in Saharanpur on Saturday for a one-day visit. He informed media at the railway station here.

He said that a blueprint for building the track for around 81 kilometers from Saharanpur to Mata Shakambhari Devi would be produced as part of the Ministry of Railways’ study.

Visitors to the Siddhapeeth come from neighboring districts and other states.

The minister also dedicated a railroad overpass at Sheikhpura Kadim and a railway park constructed by the Railways at Govind Nagar in Saharanpur.
