Tuesday’s NDA Meeting Will Include 38 Parties, According to J P Nadda

In anticipation of a significant display of force from the National Democratic Alliance, BJP president J. P. Nadda announced on Monday that 38 parties have confirmed their attendance at its meeting. He also attacked the opposition leaders’ efforts to unite as a “selfish” move to shield them from prosecution in corruption cases involving more than Rs 20 lakh crore.

“The NDA will decide that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would lead the nation in electing a new government. The nation has determined that,” Nadda said at a news conference the day before discussions between the governing coalition and the opposition parties, as preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections advance.

While the two-day gathering of 26 opposition parties began on Monday evening in Bengaluru, the NDA conference will take place in Delhi on Tuesday evening.

As he attacked the opposition parties as a coalition without a leader, with no intention, no policy, and no power to make a decision, Nadda said that the NDA is founded on the idea of national interest and people’s welfare by enlisting all facets of society.

In order to shield these politicians from accusations of corruption totaling more than Rs 20 lakh crore during the UPA administration, it was pieced together, according to him. Simply a nice picture opportunity, he said.

Between 2004 to 2014, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), which was headed by the Congress, was in charge.

According to Nadda, the NDA has grown as a result of the welfare programs and national interest-focused decisions made by Prime Minister Modi’s administration, which have attracted more and more individuals and parties to its fold.

In response to a query on whether the Telugu Desam Party and the Akali Dal, two former BJP partners, would also join the NDA, he replied it is up to them and asserted that they made the choice to break up their alliance with his party. He said that the BJP never asked them to leave.

The BJP president also attacked the Congress for implying that the governing party was gathering together its allies as a result of the opposition’s efforts to unite. He made fun of Congress lawmakers for their “ignorance” and noted that the NDA had recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.

He praised the Modi administration and said that via its direct benefit transfer program, beneficiaries of many social programs have received credit for Rs 28 lakh crore and that a potential leak of Rs 4-5 lakh crore has been closed. Additionally, he said, the use of digital technologies in governance has grown, providing transparency.

The global economy is experiencing headwinds, he said. Despite this, the IMF has said that India’s economy is stable. The fastest-growing economy is India, which Morgan Stanley claims is a major contributor to growth in Asia and throughout the world. We have seen Prime Minister Modi’s capable leadership over the last nine years. The nation is experiencing a favorable upsurge, and the average person is proud.
