Two are apprehended by Amritsar Rural Police with two kg of heroin

In this Gharinda region, the Amritsar Rural Police apprehended two narcotics dealers on Monday with two kilograms of heroin. Sarwan Singh of Ladhewal Havelian and Sukhdev Singh of Baghrian village have been named as the people who were taken into custody.

Station House Officer (SHO) Arjan Kumar of the Gharinda police station said that two automobile-borne individuals were distributing heroin in a white Alto car, according to a confidential tip the police had received. We planned to sell the heroin after obtaining it from Pakistan via drones. In response to intelligence, the Gharindi village police set up a roadblock on the Defence Drain Bridge in an attempt to apprehend the culprits. The peddlers increased the pace of the vehicle when they saw a police roadblock.

According to the police, the car’s passengers attempted to attack the officers at the checkpoint, but they were fortunately spared. The accused then drove off in the car. When the suspects’ vehicle flipped after striking a roadside pile of rubble and then a tree, the police began pursuing them and apprehending them. When the police apprehended them, they had 2 kg of heroin in their hands.

A Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act) complaint has been filed against the suspects at the Gharinda police station. Near Gurdwara Satlani Sahib, the automobile toppled, injuring both of its passengers. They were sent to the Civil Hospital for medical attention after receiving first aid. The house officer of Gharinda Station said, “We will now present them in court and obtain the remand for additional investigation.”
