Two Dead Found in Shahbad Diary Apartment; Suicide Thought to Be the Cause

According to police, a male and a married lady both aged 26 and from the Shahbad Dairy neighbourhood of outside Delhi reportedly committed suicide on Friday.

According to preliminary investigations, Meera and Manoj were dating, but the man’s family had planned for him to wed someone else, according to the police. They said that on Friday, the pair hung themselves in frustration over this. They said that no suicide note was found at the scene.

A team of police officers arrived to the flat after receiving a report about the incident about 9 am, according to the police.

Meera was living alone in a flat in the Shahbad Dairy neighbourhood, according to a senior police official, despite being married. Manoj, according to him, was single and employed as a volunteer civil defence worker in DTC.

Manoj informed his parents that he was leaving for work at approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, but he later added that he really went to see Meera.

According to the police, corpses were given to the individual families after post-mortem, and an inquest was opened.
