Two members of the terror group sponsored by Babbar Khalsa International are detained by Punjab Police
The Punjab Police stated on Thursday that it has prevented potential target assassinations via an intelligence-based operation that resulted in the arrest of two members of the terror module supported by Babbar Khalsa International.
Director-General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on X that “the module was operated by #USA based Harpreet Singh @ Happy Passian, a close aide of #Pakistan based terrorist Harwinder Singh @ Rinda, along with his associate identified as Shamsher Singh @ Shera presently based in #Armenia.”
He said that early investigations revealed that Happy Passian was collaborating with Rinda and Shamsher to radicalize young people by inspiring them to engage in anti-national actions inside the state.
30 live rounds, 4 magazines, and 2 firearms were found. The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Arms Act have both been recorded as FIRs with the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), Amritsar, the speaker said.
