The International Committee of the Red Cross (IRC), in New Delhi, and the Press Institute of India, in Chennai, are accepting submissions for their yearly media awards in the Best Article and Best Photograph categories. The topic of the article or image should be humanitarian. The monetary award for the winner is Rs. 1,00,000; the prizes for second and third place are Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 40,000, respectively. This year’s submission has “Strengthening Disability Inclusion” as its topic.

 

Entries must be sent by June 15, 2024, to the Press Institute of India, RIND premises, Second Main Road, Taramani, CPT Campus, Chennai 600113, or by email at [email protected].

Between April 2023 and March 2024, the articles and/or photos should have appeared in a reputable national or regional newspaper, magazine, or website in India.

All articles published in regional languages must have an accurate translation.

The story’s URL must be included in the email, and a PDF attachment of the piece is also required.

Each category is limited to one submission per article. Proof of their submissions in the relevant newspaper, magazine, or online must be submitted by the participants.

Members of the jury’s family and relatives are not permitted to serve. The jury’s verdict will be definitive.

The winner will get a cash award of Rs 1,00,000.

For the winner of the second prize, Rs 70,000

Rs. 40,000 goes to the third-place winner.
