Ishan Kishan said, “He Helped Me With My Bat Position.” Rishabh Pant, thank you for the wise counsel

Ishan Kishan, a flamboyant wicketkeeper batsman, said that he met Rishabh Pant before to the current West Indies trip. Ishan said that Pant gave him advice on his bat posture when they first met at the NCA, where the latter is now receiving treatment, after slamming his scorching first Test half-century. In an interesting coincidence, Ishan made an unbroken 52 runs against the West Indies in the second innings of the second Test match at Port of Spain while using a bat with the initials ‘RP17’ imprinted on it.

The two have a long history of playing cricket together, and Ishan captained India’s U-19 World Cup squad in 2016.

Ishan, who made his Test debut in the first match of the series against the West Indies, said he needed someone to give him some batting advice. Pant arrived just in time to give him some assistance with the position of his bat.

“Before coming here, I was at NCA. Rishabh was there for his rehabilitation when I was practicing. He just gave me a few points and questioned me about my bat stance among other things. We have been together since we were under 19 since we have played so many games together. He is aware of my playing style and frame of mind. He just gave me some advice on how to place my bat and other things. Therefore, it was a fantastic moment for him to come and talk with me, and I am really grateful for that, Ishan said in the video that the BCCI shared. “Aside from that, I think I also wanted someone to tell me a few things about my batting,” Ishan added.

After the day’s play, the southpaw also discussed India’s place in the contest.

“Tomorrow’s game should be entertaining. We must strike the proper spots, and early wickets are crucial, he said.

With a 34-ball 52-run* knock on Sunday, Ishan had a significant effect on India’s ability to score quickly and provide pressure on the hosts in the second Test. After playing Test cricket for the Indian squad, he expressed his opinions.

“Being in the whites was one of my dreams. All I wanted to do was dive in and smack every ball. Ishan expressed his gratitude to his parents, who have always been there for him.
