“It is setup perfectly,” Nasser Hussain predicts that India will exert more pressure in the next Test matches

NEW DELHI: Former England captain Nasser Hussain predicts a resilient Indian team to return “even harder” in the next games, saying that the team’s decisive victory in the second Test has set the ground for an exciting series.

Shubman Gill’s century, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s outstanding 209, and a masterful bowling performance gave India a 106-run win that even the series at 1-1.
Hussain anticipates a strong Indian lineup for the duration of the series, with players like KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja expected to join the team.
“With three Tests to go, everything is lined up just so. Although I believe the series will be close, England will need to prepare for an even more formidable India. India may see the return of many important players, as Hussain said, citing Sky Sports as his source. “India have missed quite a few key players so far.”
“I believe that Ravi Jadeja may miss another Test match, Virat Kohli has missed the first two, and Muhammad Shami is out for the series. There are some really serious cricketers in question. Considering that KL Rahul and Virat Kohli might return, I anticipate a more formidable Indian team in the next three games of the series. England will be aware that they will need to step up their performance,” he said.
Hussain highlighted the significance of Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding bowling session, which was essential in India’s triumph, while applauding his “magical” performance.

“The Test match was outstanding. Outstanding pitch and equally talented teams competing fiercely. As they often do, England is battling valiantly in one way or another. As they did in the first Test, they often blow a lead in the first inning. However, they responded admirably with their performance from yesterday. And in my opinion, Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliance was the underlying cause. He only managed three today, but on a really fine flat pitch, that first-inning stretch of six for forty or thereabouts destroyed England for only 250. In the end, Hussain said, “Bumrah’s wizardry and the ball to Ollie Pope—that spell he bowled—were what separated the two teams.
The third Test of the series is currently set for February 15 in Rajkot.
