In New Delhi, the eminent India skipper, Rohit Sharma, and the esteemed head coach, Rahul Dravid, shall forego the forthcoming training session preceding the fifth Test against England, slated to unfold at the illustrious HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

Having already triumphed in the series with a commanding lead of 3-1 in the five-test bout against the English side, Rohit Sharma & Company aspire to clinch the fifth Test, fortifying their eminent standing atop the WTC points table with a potential scoreline of 4-1 against the English contingent.

In an official pronouncement, the BCCI disclosed, “England shall commence their training session at the HPCA stadium from 9:30 AM onwards. Conversely, India shall initiate their practice session at 12:30 PM.”

Meanwhile, as per a report from the Indian Express, it is anticipated that the esteemed India coach, Dravid, and the distinguished captain, Rohit, shall be transported to Bilaspur via helicopter, gracing the Khel Mahakhumbh as esteemed dignitaries. The presence of the Union minister and erstwhile BCCI president, Anurag Thakur, is also anticipated at this notable event.

The third installment of the ‘Khel Mahakumbh’ is set to commence in the verdant environs of Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh, as confirmed by BJP state secretary Narendra Atri. The event, which is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, shall witness spirited competitions among village and panchayat teams across five sporting disciplines—namely, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket, basketball, and athletics—at the prestigious Luhnu ground.

The inauguration ceremony shall be graced by the august presence of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, the revered mentor of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid, and the illustrious skipper, Rohit Sharma, as affirmed by the BJP secretary.

The inception of the ‘Sansad Khel Mahakumbh’ was heralded by MP Anurag Thakur in 2018, with the maiden edition of the tournament inaugurated by the legendary former captain, Sachin Tendulkar, at the hallowed grounds of Dharamshala cricket stadium, elucidated Atri.

Atri further elaborated that the past two editions of the event witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 3,700 village and panchayat teams, with over 87,400 athletes showcasing their prowess in the ‘Sansad Khel Mahakumbh,’ held in the scenic precincts of Hamirpur district.
