Virat Kohli’s Reaction Says It All When KL Rahul Scores A Six to Reach A Century

When Team India’s back was against the wall, KL Rahul came up with one of his best innings to date. In the first Test of the two-match series, India faced South Africa, and players like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer all struggled on a challenging ground. After forming brief partnerships with lower-middle order batsmen and tailenders, Rahul scored his eighth century in a Test match, helping India to a solid 245 runs in the first innings.

With Rahul top of the scoring standings at 101, India finished Day 1 with a score of 208/8. But in order to get his century, Rahul had to play a valiant performance towards the finish of the innings and make some beautiful white-ball drives. In reality, the South Australian bowler Nandre Burger’s bowling caused the wicket-keeper batsman to cross the 100-run milestone with a magnificent six.

Day 1 ended with India scoring 208/8 in 59 overs, with Mohammed Siraj and KL Rahul scoring 0(10)* and 70(105)*, respectively, to remain undefeated.

KL Rahul put up a fierce fight the whole time he was on the field. Kagiso Rabada battled valiantly to push India’s total beyond 200 runs, even if the other batsmen were unable to score too much against him. Siraj also shown patience when dealing with the ten balls.

Jasprit Bumrah was the lone player to fall out of the last session; after 19 balls played, he lost his patience and was bowled by Marco Jansen.

Rabada claimed all four of the wickets that fell in the second session. The speedster flourished on a wicket that offered more bounce, leaving India’s hitters without solutions.
