WTC Final: Shardul Thakur thinks we may pursue 450 or more

India all-rounder Shardul Thakur told the reporters at the conclusion of the third day of play in the World Test Championship final against Australia that his country may score 450 or more in the fourth innings.

At the end of the third day of the World Test Championship championship game against Australia, India all-rounder Shardul Thakur warned the media that his nation might aim to chase 450 or more in the fourth innings.

Australia held a lead of 296 runs and was 123/4 at the end of Day 3 courtesy to the fortification of Marnus Labuschagne (41*) and Cameron Green (7*).

Thakur responded to a question with: “Cricket is a funny game. You never know how far we can really go. The wicket, though, was described as being “under prepared” by Thakur.

“The ball is rising from a certain location (at the field’s Vauxhall End side). Some balls were silent today, he said.

Thakur acknowledged that he was struck on a finger while batting but argued that “it doesn’t look too bad” in reaction to Ajinkya Rahane not fielding after leading the side in scoring with 89.

In a statement to the media, Australian bowler Mitchell Starc praised Rahane’s performance and said, “Jinx (Rahane’s alias) did exceptionally well. Because of a fantastic catch (by Cameron Green), he was eliminated. We are aware of his playing prowess. On Day 2, Virat Kohli nicked a bouncer, and when questioned about it, he said, “I got fortunate. It turned out well. Just rushing in, I smacked the wicket. Starc believed that the pitch began to “play tricks” on him on the third day. The wicket may do additional pranks tomorrow with the expected sunlight, he said.
