Residents in Noida complain about water cuts without warning and service delays

The water treatment plant (WTP) in Siddharth Vihar stopped supplying Ganga water while pipes were being built in Chhajarsi, close to Sector 63. As a result, some areas of the city experienced delayed water flow from taps as a result of low pressure and inadequate supplies. By Monday night, it was expected that the job would be finished. Meanwhile, the lack of Ganga water caused problems for a number of residential groups and sectors in Noida, including sectors 71, 70, 82, 23 and certain high-rise structures.

Without warning, the water supply was entirely cut off: Inhabitant
It should be mentioned that inhabitants around the city experienced water supply interruptions as a consequence of these repair works, making it difficult for them to go about their daily lives. According to a resident of the Metro Apartment in Sector 71, as reported by TOI, the water supply to the society was abruptly cut off without any notice.

Our supply is mostly derived from the Ranney Welis. The water pressure has been poor for the last four to five days, which has inconvenienced the tenants living on the higher levels. The schedule of the water delivery varies in different parts of the industry, he said.

Pileine installation in mild steel is part of maintenance work.
There are rumors that a mild steel (MS) pipeline is being installed close to Sector 63 as part of a maintenance project. MS pipes are made from low-carbon (less than 0.25%) steel, which prevents them from hardening. They are readily shaped into a variety of sizes and forms by welding.

According to Unmesh Shukla, executive engineer at Ganga Jal Project (Urban), UP Jal Nigam, Ghaziabad, as reported by The Times of India, pipeline maintenance work prevented the 100 cusec water supply from the WTP at Siddharth Vihar from being available from April 13 to April 15.

“Due to Navratri and Eid, the repair work that was originally planned for earlier dates was postponed. We anticipate resuming supply to Noida by Tuesday afternoon, but it was restored to Ghaziabad on Sunday morning, the official said.
