UP Board Exams 2024: Unethical Behavior Spotted on Camera at Six Centers

All over the state of Uttar Pradesh, there is a great deal of rigor and strictness surrounding the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12. In order to strictly supervise the test centers, the administration has implemented a number of measures, such as installing CCTV cameras and issuing ID cards with barcodes. These CCTV cameras captured several suspicious actions that took place at the test centers. These acts allegedly occurred in each of the six Uttar Pradesh test centers.

Because they are unable to stop these wrongdoings, the managers of these centers may now be subject to disciplinary action. Cameras captured these suspicious behaviors at two test centers in Agra and Prayagraj, and one each in Etawah and Aligarh. At UP Board headquarters, a command and control room has been built. The CCTV cameras that are placed at the testing locations are watched over in this control room.

The UP Board has sent the administrators of these centers a show-cause notice. Additionally, the administrators have been given two days to respond to these show-cause notifications. In the event that the administrators are unable to provide a suitable response to these notifications, the board has threatened to take appropriate action.

The board claims that in this instance, the testing locations have been threatened with debarment or blacklisting. An organization by the name of Maa Chandrawali Ramjilal (MCR) Inter College, Agra, has also adopted this warning. In the midst of the test, a student in the 12th grade broke out of the college with the answer sheet. This took place during the examination’s second shift on March 2. There was no legal action taken against the student by the test center administrator. Rather, the administration attempted to hide this occurrence.

Numerous stringent steps have been implemented to curb fraudulent activities in the UP Board exams, according to UP Board Secretary Dibya Kant Shukla. The Special Task Force (STF) has been deployed as one of these strategies to combat test cheating. The control room is open 24/7, and anybody may use it to report someone they believe has cheated on an exam. According to reports, the authorities have also spoken about how to administer a test that is fair and devoid of cheating.
