According to UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Shivaji founded the Hindavi Empire under the reign of “Tyrant” Aurangzeb

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said on Friday that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s actions against his foes are consistent with the Bhagavad Gita, which discusses the preservation of the good and the annihilation of the evil. He argued that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was announcing the Hindu Empire, but Aurangzeb was keen to destroy India’s cultural and spiritual character.

Adityanath said that if Indian society follows this tactic, it would effectively defend its honor and self-respect and never be humiliated, citing the Sanskrit shloka “Paritranaya sadhunam vinashaya cha dushkritam.”

Invoking couplets from the Bhagavad Gita, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party asserted that although the words may differ, the message is always the same: “we will protect the good (‘sajjan’) people, but will not hesitate in destroying the evil (‘durjan’) forces.”

The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj founded the Hindavi Empire in India 350 years ago, during the reign of the “tyrant,” Aurangzeb, prior to the performance of the production “Janata Raja,” which is based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj.

As Aurangzeb yearned to eradicate India’s cultural and spiritual identity, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was announcing the establishment of the Hindu Empire. This was first-rate,” he said.

In honor of the 350th anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation, the drama was presented by the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department and the Divya Prem Seva Mission, Haridwar.

According to a statement released by the Uttar Pradesh administration, Adityanath attended the drama’s staging as well.

The chief minister said that during the Middle Ages, when it was predicted that even the name Sanatan Dharma would vanish, Guru Gobind Singh, Maharana Pratap, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj sometimes shone like a beacon of light and inspired everyone.

“These remarkable individuals continued the job that Lord Shri Ram had started during the Treta Yug. A Sanatan Dharma disciple finds inspiration in them and the will to overcome obstacles,” he said.
