Himachal Pradesh: A heartwarming video shows a “brave” child traveling with her father through waist-deep snow to sit her board test

Even with the restricted roads and lack of power, this “brave” girl from Lauhal, Spiti, wouldn’t have skipped her examinations.

She made the decision to take her board examinations while walking through two to three feet of snow.

On social media, a video of a youngster going to the Lahaul and Spiti area of Himachal Pradesh with her father to sit for her board test has gone viral.

She was seen in the video trudging through heavy snow, yet she persisted.

The “brave” girl’s passion and motivation have been praised by online users. “Holding so many hopes, she is eager to take the exam and be disciplined,” one person remarked.

By the middle of March, the board examinations, which started later last month, would be over.

Snowfall in the upper regions of Himachal has severely disrupted everyday life in the districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti, which are home to tribal people. Four national highways and 350 other roads have been blocked.

According to a statement from the police, the 81 tourists who were left stranded in the Spiti Valley in Lahaul and the Spiti district on Sunday night were relocated to and billeted at various hotels and homestays in the area.

This tribal territory has over 290 obstructed roads, and for the previous two days, some communities have been without power.

In Lahaul and Spiti, intense rain and snowfall have also interfered with the cellphone network.
