16 Students Arrested at Rajasthan University for Uproar

On Wednesday, sixteen students were apprehended for causing a disturbance inside the Rajasthan University during a syndicate meeting. According to a police officer, cops used just little force to scatter the protesting students.

Police said that during the syndicate meeting, a group of demonstrators gathered in front of the VC secretariat and charged the administration of failing to represent students’ interests.

According to them, detentions included seven members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and nine members of the National Students Union of India (NSUI).

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Gyan Chand Yadav, the protesting students have been given the assurance that they would be permitted to submit their arguments after the conclusion of the syndicate meeting.
