Ajit Pawar: There Is No PM Modi Substitute in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

Mumbai: On Monday, Ajit Pawar, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, said that there is now “no alternative” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the nation.

In response to a question from reporters on the opposition parties’ intentions to challenge PM Modi’s leadership before to the next Lok Sabha elections in 2019, Mr. Pawar said.

As of right moment, the nation has no prime minister other than Narendra Modi. Such a judgment is made taking into account more than just one or two factors, according to Mr. Pawar.

He addressed the reporters, “You people do a lot of propaganda.”

However, Mr. Pawar said that issues such as who would uphold the nation’s interests, whose leadership will make the nation safer and stronger, and who improved the nation’s standing abroad are crucial.

“The outcomes of the most recent assembly elections in three states—Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan—have also been revealed. “Pre-election guesswork does not guarantee identical outcomes,” he said.

When asked about opposition parties holding protests against the state administration in Pune area, Mr. Pawar said that an NCP Lok Sabha MP had stated his desire to resign from the Lower House of Parliament.

“When we offered him a ticket in 2019, he was well-liked due to his portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj (in a television series) and his strong oratory skills,” he reportedly alluded to Amol Kolhe, the Lok Sabha member from Pune’s Shirur seat who backs the NCP faction headed by Sharad Pawar.

“In July of this year, along with eight other leaders of the National Congress Party, I have decided on an alternative to him (in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls), and I can tell you now that my candidate will win the seat for sure,” said Ajit Pawar.
