BJP Demonstrates Against Gehlot Government in Jaipur

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Meena on Tuesday accused Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of corruption and said that his party will uncover Shanti Dhariwal’s corrupt actions as well as frauds involving the state’s mines and Jal Jeevan Mission.

Meena alleged there was a fraud of Rs 5,000 crore at the Department of Information and Technology (DoIT), but the chief minister refused to allow the Anti-Corruption Bureau to look into it when it requested permission at a public meeting held here before a march towards the secretariat.

“The BJP is going to reveal a mining fraud soon. The Jal Jeevan Mission fraud and the corruption charges against UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal would also be revealed, he said.

Meena said that gold and cash totaling Rs 2.31 crore were found in an almirah inside a government facility for the first time ever in the nation.

A joint director of the DoIT was detained by Jaipur police after the cash and gold were taken last month from a closed almirah in the basement of Yojna Bhawan.

“The Gehlot administration is rife with corruption. In Rajasthan, sixteen competitive test papers were administered over the course of one year, and each one was compromised. Gehlot is concerned now that the Enforcement Directorate has arrived and is conducting a probe,” Meena added.
