According to Singh, the case has been sent to a female additional superintendent of police in the Nalbari district.

The DGP said that Brajenjit Singha, the DIG of Central Western Range, has been instructed to visit the area and provide a first-hand report by Thursday.

“The police station is covered by CCTV… Strongest legal action would be taken if the accusation is confirmed to be genuine, he stressed.
