J&K Agniveers’ first group of recruits joined the light infantry

On June 17, in front of their proud instructors and parents, the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry’s first batch of agniveers had a fitting ceremony of attestation at the JAK LI Regimental Centre in Srinagar.

The historic ceremony began with the Rashtriya Salute to the National Flag, followed by the swearing-in, parade review by the Commandant, and the piping of the Agniveers. It ended with the Regimental Song and the National Anthem, with the Agniveers pledging their allegiance to the country.

The kids began a tough training programme on January 1. Their physical stamina and endurance have improved, as have their senses and mental toughness. The 24-week training has also improved their physical fitness and given them the soldiering abilities needed to win battles.

Additionally, the training emphasised character development, instilling regimental traditions, military history and ethos, camaraderie, and most importantly, an unwavering spirit.

Before joining their units, which are spread out throughout the nation, the Agniveers will go through another seven weeks of rigorous training.

The Agniveers got education on a variety of topics in addition to military training, preparing them to be responsible, moral, and helpful citizens of our wonderful country. They represent leadership, dynamism, and collaboration. They represent a confident generation that will lead the country in the twenty-first century thanks to their discipline, vibrancy, devotion, and willingness to persist in the face of all obstacles.
