Loksabha elections: The governing alliance of Jharkhand seeks Rahul’s final approval

The BJP has already revealed the names of the majority of its candidates for the Jharkhand Lok Sabha Elections in 2024, whereas the INDI Alliance has not yet revealed a single name for the same position.

The governing alliance’s top brass claims that they have been awaiting former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s approval before announcing the final candidate names. Eleven of the fourteen Lok Sabha candidates in Jharkhand have been named by the BJP; however, the INDI Alliance’s seat distribution is yet unfinished.

Though they haven’t made an official announcement yet, sources inside the governing coalition claim that they have agreed on a 7-5-1-1 formula for Jharkhand, in which the Congress would run for seven seats, JMM for five, and the RJD and left for one each from the JMM quota.

To attend the Yatra’s final ceremony, CM Champai Soren, Kalpana Soren, and JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya departed for Mumbai on Tuesday. According to party sources, the JMM leaders and top Congress officials will talk about seat sharing in the next Lok Sabha elections. At the latest, on Monday night or Tuesday afternoon, the identities will be revealed.
