Mallikarjun Kharge: Modi government is “ruining” PSUs

On Saturday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Modi administration was “ruining” PSUs and stealing thousands of government jobs, and that the “Make in India” push was really a marketing campaign to improve the standing of the federal government.

In a Hindi tweet, he questioned, “By stealing lakhs of government jobs, ruining PSUs..is part of which toolkit, Narendra Modi ji.”

He also questioned what the nation gained from the “Make in India” high-voltage promotion, which was just intended to improve the image.

According to the head of the Congress, the Modi administration does not consider Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to be a significant contributor to the nation’s economy.

Why did the Modi administration steal 3.84 lakh jobs from only seven PSUs? Why did women’s employment in the federal government decline by 42%? He also questioned why there was an 88% rise in contract and temporary government employment.

Kharge also uploaded a 1.5-minute video detailing the employment losses that occurred in various public sector organisations from 2013 and 2022.
