Union ministers visit those injured at SCB Medical College and Hospital after the Odisha triple train catastrophe

On Sunday, Mansukh Mandaviya, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Dharmendra Pradhan, Ministers of the Cabinet, visited the wounded victims of the quadruple railway tragedy in Cuttack.

Officials claim that the Union ministers visited the cuttack hospital and medical college known as Srirama Chandra Bhanja where the wounded passengers were treated. According to sources, the ministers also met with medical professionals from SCB Medical College and Hospital and AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

Prior to that, on Sunday, Dharmendra Pradhan and Railway Minister Vaishnaw visited the district hospital to see how the wounded were doing.
Over 1,000 people were hurt in the disaster in the Balasore area, which included two passenger trains and one cargo train.

The Union ministers were seen comforting the wounded and their families during their visit to the hospital. Vaishnaw said that the patients were receiving appropriate care from the medics.

In order to resume operations, he noted that the up and down lines’ damaged railway rails from the triple train accident had been repaired.

“We came across injured people at the Bhadrak hospital. Most patients maintain communication with their families. The wounded are receiving appropriate care from the medical professionals and employees. The rehabilitation work on the tracks is finished, Vaishnaw informed the press.
Vaishnaw had earlier tweeted that the down line had been fixed in order to resume service.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the railway minister earlier in the day and requested that he supervise the rehabilitation and repair of the damaged lines.
At Bahanaga Bazar Station in the Balasore neighbourhood, the accident on Friday night included the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Coromandel Express, and a cargo train on three different lines.
On Sunday, the railway minister said that a “change in electronic interlocking” was to blame for the triple train catastrophe in Balasore.
A system of signal equipment called an electronic interlocking prevents trains from moving in opposition to one another along a network of lines. Essentially, it is a safety mechanism to stop signals from being altered in the wrong order. This system’s goal is to prevent a train from moving forward until the safety of the route has been established.
This is a distinct matter, Vaishnav said in a statement to ANI. This article is about electrical interlocking using Point Machine. An alteration to the electrical interlocking was the cause of the accident. Once the inquiry comes to a logical conclusion, it will become evident who did it and how it occurred.
Earlier on Saturday, Bhubana Nanda Moharana, Emergency Medical Officer at SCB Medical College Cuttack, said that everything, including research and care for the sad Balasore Train crash victims, was provided free of charge by the state government.
Following the devastating train disaster, hundreds of locals lined up outside Cuttack’s SCB Medical College to give blood for the victims.
