After Virat Kohli’s last century, Sachin Tendulkar leads the cricket community in praising the former India captain

After scoring a superb century against the West Indies in the second Test match against them on Friday, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar praised current master Virat Kohli. At Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Kohli distinguished himself and gave a spectacular performance in his 500th international game. The batting master’s superb performance helped to keep the Indian innings steady after they lost wickets in the second session of Day 1.

Another day, another century by Virat Kohli, Tendulkar remarked in an Instagram story. Tendulkar was also quite amazed by Kohli’s skill. Well done.”

Dinesh Karthik, a seasoned wicketkeeper batsman, too praised the master batsman and tweeted about him.

“100 in 500th! A guy with a huge heart and a large number! “Well played, @imVkohli,” tweeted Karthik.

After Kohli’s stunning knock, former batsman Suresh Rain praised Kohli’s skill and unwavering attitude.

Another incredible century from the master @imVkohli I salute your outstanding brilliance and unwavering passion. On Twitter, Raina posted.

Irfan Pathan, a former paceman, praised the 34-year-old batter on Twitter as well.

“Virat Kohli has been such a great player. 500th game, 100,” he wrote.

Within a few minutes of the start of play at Trinidad’s Queen’s Park Oval, Kohli started his batting from the overnight score of 87 and easily reached the desired three figures with a square-driven boundary off fast bowler Shannon Gabriel.

As the cornerstone of his innings, 45 singles and 13 doubles in stifling circumstances, Kohli’s strength rested in his game knowledge.

His characteristic cover drive often came out of his closet, and as many as nine of his 11 boundaries were hit on the off-side, making him happy.

Alzarri Joseph’s straight smash to the non-striker’s end from square leg, though, put an end to Kohli’s time in the middle, and he eventually made the long trek back to the pavilion after a superb 121-run effort. He and Ravindra Jadeja (61 off 152 balls), who was the fifth wicket, had a magnificent 159-run partnership.
