Marnus Labuschagne tweets an epic two-word message on “rest” after passing out on day three of the World Cup final between India and Australia

Marnus Labuschagne, an Australian cricket player, stole the show on Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) final when he was seen dozing off during the match between India and Australia.

Marnus was observed sleeping off during Australia’s second inning before his short slumber was suddenly stopped when Mohammed Siraj removed David Warner at the start of Marnus’ turn to bat.

Labuschagne updated his friends and followers on “rest” in a humorous two-word tweet the day after going to sleep on Friday.

Australia was given the opportunity to bat once again after Pat Cummins’ team held India to a score of 296. In the face of an onslaught of attacking balls from the Indian bowlers, Usman Khawaja and Warner entered the field to increase their team’s advantage.

The cameras captured Marnus dozing off while his colleagues battled in the center.

The third-best hitter in Australia said after the game that he had just been resting his eyes.

The 28-year-old claimed to have been just relaxing and resting his eyes between balls throughout the match, according to SEN Cricket.

You can’t watch the game all the time, so I was trying to relax a little. I went up there and woke up very quickly. When Siraj slammed the first one in, I hadn’t had many rests, he continued.

Marnus used his Twitter account to send out a “good morning” message on Saturday morning. When a fan enquired about his health, Labuschagne responded that he was “well rested.”

On June 10, the Australian batter tweeted, “Good morning,” before a follower sent a response asking, “Morning Marnus, Good or bad? And Labuschagne said, “Well rested.”

Regarding the WTC final in 2023, Australia has a commanding 296-run lead over India going into Day 4 of play. Marnus is batting at 46, while Cameron Green is batting at 7, and play will continue from 123/4.

With two days left in the Test, India will attempt to quickly finish off the Australians by getting Marnus Labuschagne out of the game as well as the rest of them.
