With a six-wicket haul, Usama Mir makes PSL history as Multan Sultans defeat Lahore Qalandars

NEW DELHI: In a historic occasion for the Pakistan Super League, Usama Mir became the first spinner to score an incredible six-wicket haul. The Multan Sultans triumphed, beating the Lahore Qalandars by a score of sixty runs. This loss is the two-time winners’ sixth straight setback.
Usama Mir, who bowled really well and earned amazing figures of 6-40, is a powerful leg-spinner.

In only 17 overs, Lahore Qalandars were knocked out for a score of 154.
Multan Sultans scored 214/4, their best score of the season, despite resting several of most important international players, like as Dawid Malan, Chris Jordan, and David Willey.
Usman Khan, playing for the United Arab Emirates, scored an incredible 96 runs in only 55 balls. His aggressive batting approach had a big effect on the game. Iftikhar Ahmed also made a significant contribution to the team’s victory with an undefeated 40 off 18 balls.
Multan skipper Mohammad Rizwan was disappointed during the match as Shaheen Shah Afridi clean bowled him in the first over without allowing him to score a run. But Usman Khan’s outstanding performance made up for the loss.
In the last overs, Usman Khan’s alliance with Reeza Hendricks (40) and Tayyab Tahir (21) proved to be important as they amassed 60 runs in only 28 balls.
After Usman Khan was dropped by Carlos Brathwaite on 89, Afridi ultimately caught him out for his second wicket in the penultimate over.
Mir once again shown his extraordinary bowling abilities as he quickly demolished Lahore’s middle-order. In only one over, he claimed the crucial wickets of Jahandad Khan (bowled off a full pitched ball), Rassie van der Dussen (30), and George Linde (caught at the outside edge).
After winning five of their six games, Multan Sultans have officially locked up the top spot in the competition.
