A murder suspect was shot dead in front of police at the Patna Court Complex

Patna: On Friday, two men at a Patna court complex shot and killed an undertrial prisoner. According to the authorities, both suspects have been taken into custody.

Sikanderpur resident Abhishek Kumar, also known as Chhote Sarkar, was charged with murder in addition to other offenses. According to police, he was being held in the Beur prison in the city and was scheduled to appear in court today.

“He was shot dead after being accosted by two men while being transported to the Danapur court. After being detained, the assailants were brought to the police station. “To find out who sent them and why they committed this murder, they will be questioned,” Patna West Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Kumar said.

Following the event, the police captured footage of the two suspects and confronted them. They later saw the police dragging them away.

The court complex is nonetheless tense despite the discovery of four gunshot rounds in the vicinity.

“Muzafarpur is the home of the assailants. “How many bullets hit the undertrial is unknown, but the police have found four shells,” Mr. Kumar stated.
A gang of individuals ambushed a police squad carrying undertrial detainees in 2019, resulting in the shooting death of one police officer and severe injuries to another outside the Danapur court.
