Lok Sabha Elections: Dimple Yadav of SP Nominates from Mainpuri Seat in UP

On Tuesday, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Dimple Yadav submitted her nomination papers for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency. Senior party officials Shivpal Singh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav, as well as the president of the SP and her spouse, Akhilesh Yadav, accompanied the incumbent MP from Mainpuri.

On May 7, Mainpuri will host polling places for the third round of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections. In the 2022 Lok Sabha bypoll, Dimple Yadav became victorious in Mainpuri, a seat that had been left vacant by the death of her father-in-law, Mulayam Singh Yadav, the patriarch of the SP.

The BSP’s Shiv Prasad Yadav and the BJP’s Jaiveer Singh are the opponents of the SP leader.
