Man arrested for murder after killing himself in Pilibhit, UP

A man has been charged with murder after murdering an 18-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district after she refused his proposal, according to the police.

According to Madan Mohan Chaturvedi, the Station House Officer at the Ghungchai Police Station, “The youth has been booked, after his death, under IPC section 302 (murder) and section 25 of the Arms Act following a written complaint filed by the victim’s brother Anil Verma.”

The autopsies of the two corpses have been requested.

Manjeet Yadav, a 20-year-old teenager, reportedly approached Archana Varma while she was with a companion. She was instantly killed when he shot her in the chest at close range.

He then immediately shot himself in the head, passing away instantly.

Sunil Dutt, the Puranpur Circle Circle Officer, verified the occurrence and said that more inquiries were being conducted.
