Man Shot Dead in Gorakhpur, UP, for Refusing Loud Music, and Furious Villagers Block Road

In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a 45-year-old man was shot dead for objecting to several mining employees playing loudly filthy music in the hamlet.

The event resulted in the wounding of three other persons and the burning of a few automobiles.

On Wednesday, a few mine employees in the hamlet of Rudrapur Majwa started playing coarse music loudly, which set off trouble. When 45-year-old Raj Kishore, a local, protested to the employees playing filthy music, a fight broke out.

After an incident, a group of around six mining employees and their contractor Sunil Yadav went to Kishore’s residence and shot him. The 45-year-old passed away instantly.

Residents of the hamlet emerged after hearing the gunshot and began pursuing Yadav and his men. A few guys were seized by the locals, who then beat them mercilessly.

Three males were hurt during the event.

The accused’s two motorbikes and a tractor-trolley were also set on fire by the enraged townspeople. They also wrecked Yadav’s SUV, which belonged to him. Yadav lives in the nearby hamlet of Devan Deeh.

In order to further urge their demand for the accused’s quick arrest, the crowd then for hours halted traffic between the villages of Saunkhor and Semra.

The three wounded guys have been admitted to the neighborhood community health center, according to SSP Gorakhpur Gaurav Grover, who hastily arrived at the scene. He said that their condition is steady.

To calm the situation, SDM Gola, Rohit Maurya, and circle officer Ajay Kumar Singh all hurried to the scene.

A significant police presence has now been placed in the area due to the ongoing tensions.

According to SP (rural) Arun Kumar Singh, the SSP convinced the people to remove the roadblock. He said that the suspect will shortly be taken into custody.
