UP: Police In Bareilly Arrest Neighbor After 5-Year-Old Is Raped

According to authorities, a juvenile is suspected of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl in a hamlet in this city’s Aliganj district. The suspect has since been taken into custody.

According to the mother of the child, the event happened on Monday night when the youngster was playing outside her home.

The complainant said that their neighbor Yashpal Maurya (21), lured the youngster to a residence under false pretenses, where he raped her.

In response to the allegation, police filed a FIR under the appropriate IPC provisions and the POCSO Act, and they detained him on Tuesday, according to Pushpendra Singh, SHO, Aliganj.

The youngster was brought to the hospital, where it was reported that her condition was stable. A thorough investigation of the situation is ongoing.
