Radhika remained unwavering while I struggled with my health: Aanthir Ambani

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, has described his soon-to-be wife Radhika Merchant, the daughter of businessman Viren Merchant, as the “person of my dreams” and praised her for being the only person in his life who has ever supported him, particularly during his health struggles.

Ahead of his and Radhika Merchant’s three-day pre-wedding festivities at the expansive Reliance Greens Complex in Jamnagar, Gujarat, he made the comments in an exclusive interview with India Today’s News Director Rahul Kanwal.

Pop sensation Rihanna, Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, and other Indian and foreign performers are scheduled to perform during the festivities. It’s also said that CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg and founder of Microsoft Bill Gates will be there.

India Today quoted Anant Ambani as saying, “I am definitely lucky to have her.” She is the ideal partner for me. I had always believed that since I was so committed to caring for animals, I would never get married. However, I recognized that Radhika and I had similar ideals when we first met. She treats animals with such generosity and care.

Since she was a young kid, Anant Ambani has struggled with serious health problems, including obesity.

His mother Nita Ambani had said in a previous interview that he had asthma, which makes it challenging for him to lose weight.

Anant Ambani said, “Beyond that, Radhika has stood like a strong pillar of support during my difficult times, as I battled with health issues.” He also mentioned how Radhika has helped him in his healthcare journey. I was never made to feel sick, not even by my parents. Even in cases when physicians were willing to give up, they never did. Furthermore, Radhika gave me courage.

He restated that only the unwavering support of his family and Radhika had allowed him to overcome his health problems.

“They always encouraged me to keep going and fight, particularly because I’ve struggled with health problems since I was a little kid. Since many others suffer more than I do, I am thankful to God for everything. I’ve never listened to anything that someone says. Their job is to talk, but I place the biggest value on my family and their support,” he said.

More than a thousand people have registered for the pre-wedding festivities, which include Bollywood celebrities Rajinikanth from the South and Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar.
