CM Baghel and other leaders will campaign in the assembly elections with the goal of winning 75 seats or more. Chhattisgarh Cong Chief claims

Deepak Baij, the newly elected president of the Chhattisgarh Congress, said on Saturday that Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister, and other top officials would head his party’s campaign for the year-end Assembly elections.

He said at a meeting of party members at Rajiv Bhawan that the objective is to win more than 75 seats in the 90-member Assembly.

“We’ll run for office wearing Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s visage. With the help of Mohan Markam, Dhanendra Sahu, and TS Baba (Deputy CM TS Singhdeo), we would contest the elections, he said.

He said that the Center was sending investigation agencies to the state to scare out the Congress administration, but the chief minister was not one of those people.

The CM is “alive, kicking, and fighting fit,” declared 42-year-old Baij, a Lok Sabha MP from Bastar. “Kaka” is a word of affection for Baghel.

Party members greeted him as he arrived at Rajiv Bhawan from Raipur Airport. In the presence of Baghel, state minister Mohan Markam (whom he succeeded in the position), and others, he assumed leadership of the Chhattisgarh Congress.
