Jayalalitha’s praise from Rajnath Singh demonstrates the AIADMK’s mettle: EPS

Tuesday’s sharp criticism came from AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, who claimed that the governing DMK had broken its pledge to reinstate the former pension plan and other commitments made to public servants. Palaniswami was visiting Madurai’s major vegetable market, soliciting support for party candidate Dr P Saravanan.

Speaking to media at this location, Palaniswami praised remarks made by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in honor of late AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa. It is commendable when representatives of other parties, like as the BJP, demonstrate how the AIADMK party has shown excellent administration. He doesn’t think he’ll get any AIADMK votes,” he said.

Palaniswami went on to say that the AIADMK administration has implemented a number of programs for government workers during its ten-year rule. “The AIADMK issued the dearness allowance (DA) as soon as the federal government boosted it. However, throughout the last three years, the DMK administration, headed by MK Stalin, has postponed the release of DA. After the polls, DMK breaks its commitments,” the former chief minister said.

Palaniswami said, “I have shown videos of DMK leadership lying, which includes the non-fulfillment of promises listed out in their election manifesto,” in another jab at the party. Before I answered their assertion, DMK need to clarify where, when, and how I had lied.”

In response to Stalin’s claim that Palaniswami had put AIADMK on a lease, the leader stated the DMK operates more like a family party and “corporate” business. Palaniswami took a jab at the DMK, stating that the AIADMK is not affected by dynasty politics and that a party cadre would replace him. “Dynastic politics means that the members of a family keep occupying the chief position,” Palaniswami remarked.

Palaniswami also criticized Anbumani Ramadoss, the leader of the PMK, for saying that the party had no business collaborating with Dravidian parties. Palaniswami questioned the PMK’s decision to join forces with the AIADMK in the first place.
