Principal of a Primary School Arrested for Sexual Abuse in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh

According to authorities, on Tuesday, the principal of a government elementary school in the Bulandshahr district was taken into custody for reportedly exposing female pupils to “indecent videos” on their phones and engaging in sexual abuse. They added that Pratap Singh, the principal, was taken into custody on Monday and lodged in prison.

The police complaint states that Singh touched the school’s female pupils in an indecent way. The complaint claimed that, as a result, the girls, who were all between the ages of nine and twelve, quit attending the school. The accusation said that they were also given “dirty movies” over the phone and told that if they discussed it at home, he would fail them in the test and ban them from the school.

According to the Superintendent of Police (Rural), Rohit Mishra, a complaint has been filed at the Arnia Police Station in accordance with the applicable provisions of the POCSO Act and the Indian Penal Code. He said the accused was taken into custody and placed in prison.
