Makeup artist for Amitabh Bachchan loses a phone worth Rs. 1.4 lakh, which an elderly coolie returns

These individual occurrences, no matter how little they may appear, renew our trust in mankind in a society when characteristics like honesty and compassion are quickly eroding. At Mumbai's Dadar railway station, a similar endearing occurrence recently occurred when a 62-year-old coolie's frank honesty is winning hearts everywhere. Deepak Dutta Sawant, a make-up artist for Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, was able to recover his Rs. 1.4 lakh phone that he had thought was lost forever thanks to Dadar railway station porter Dashrat Daund's unwavering honesty.
When Sawant realized he was traveling by train from Mumbai to Amritsar without his phone, he was a long distance from Mumbai. Using a separate phone, he dialed his own number and identified himself as Amitabh Bachchan's makeup artist. The police were on the other end of the phone, and they were telling him a touching story.
Dashrat saw a costly phone laying in the station's dining area and instead of trying to retain it, he quickly delivered it to the Government Railway Police (GRP). The Times of India reported that Dashrat claimed he did not know how to operate an expensive device and that he never carried around another person's possessions.
He said that after discovering the phone, he questioned every passenger in the area whether it belonged to them, but they all denied ownership. He made the decision to give the police the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 at that point. After handing the phone over to the police, Dashrat went home and went to sleep. He got a call from the cops a little time later. Once the police located the owner of the phone, the department and Sawant were overcome with gratitude for the venerable coolie.
Deepak Sawant claimed that while boarding a train for Amritsar, he had carelessly left his phone at the station.
Dhanveer, Deepak's son, received the phone in the end. According to rumors, Dhanveer gave Dashrat a prize of Rs 1,000 for his sincerity.
