The fact is, I'm a criminal. maybe passing away. In chapter one, he comments, "I may have to hurry this up.
According to Niell in an interview with The Guardian, he began writing about his life to keep himself occupied while receiving treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a less frequent illness that arises in the body's extensive network of lymphatic veins and glands.
"I discovered that I had nothing to do. I am used to working. I adore my job. I adore my job. I like spending time with individuals every day, taking pleasure in their company, friendship, and all these other things. And all of a sudden, I was without it. I then asked myself, "What am I going to do? " I've never intended to write a book. While I would go to bed thinking, "I'll write about it tomorrow... that will amuse me," I eventually realised that as I continued to write, it was truly kind of giving me a purpose to live. The 75-year-old actor stated, "That was truly a lifesaver because I couldn't have gone through it with nothing to do.
Neill said that in March of last year, while doing promotional work for "Jurassic World Dominion," he first noticed swelling glands. He took treatment immediately after receiving a non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis.
The actor said that when the conventional approach failed, a new chemotherapy treatment, which he must take every month for the rest of his life, was recommended.
Niell is now cancer-free.
"I can't deny that there were difficult times last year. Yet those bad times bring the brightness into clear focus and have made me very thankful for all of my friends as well as for every day. Just happy to still be alive," he remarked.
