1/2 cup tur dal, 1/2 cup chana dal, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 2 cups Ghiya (chopped into big pieces), 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp finely Chopped garlic, 1 tsp grated ginger, 1/2 cup onion (cut into long pieces), 2 tsp oil, salt to taste.

Wash and soak the lentils for half an hour. Put the dal in the cooker and cook it by adding tomatoes, ghee, turmeric, salt, and 3 cups of water.

Now heat ghee in a pan, when the ghee becomes hot, add cumin seeds to it. When cumin starts crackling, add garlic, green chili, ginger, and onion and fry it. Garnish with green coriander and serve it with rice and roti.
