Rijiju's "Anti-India Gang" Comments Are An Effort To Threaten Judges And Apply Pressure On The Judiciary: Raut

Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), said on Sunday that Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju's comments that certain retired judges are a part of a "anti-India gang" are an effort to intimidate and threaten the judiciary. Rijiju said that a few activists and retired judges who are "part of the anti-India gang" are attempting to turn the Indian judiciary into the opposition party while speaking at the India Today Conference on Saturday in the nation's capital. While discussing the comments with reporters in this location, Raut replied, "This is what sort of democracy? Does threatening the judiciary make sense for a law minister? It is an effort to exert pressure on the judiciary and a warning to judges who defy the administration."
According to Raut, criticising the administration does not imply hostility for the country. The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP also said that an attempt has been made to remove the Congressman from the Lok Sabha after Rahul Gandhi talked about the dangers to the nation's democracy. Raut said, "Rahul Gandhi would not apologise and why should he?" in response to a query on the demand that Gandhi apologise for his remarks. "Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials have in reality talked against the nation and its political leaders on foreign soil," he said.
Rahul Gandhi's recent comments in London, in which he claimed that the institutions of Indian democracy are being attacked on a "full-scale basis," have been met with demands from the BJP for an apology. The BJP accused him of defaming India on foreign territory and calling for foreign interventions in response to his comments, while the Congress shot back at the governing party by pointing to other occasions when Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought up domestic issues overseas.
