During this, the elephants have damaged the paddy and other crops in the fields of many farmers. Not only this, there has also been loss of life. In such a situation, there is anger among the villagers regarding the terror of elephants. In this episode, the villagers of village Mariamari and Baroli of Sitanadi range tried to drive the elephant out of the forest. On receiving the information, the officers-employees of the Forest Department immediately reached there and informed the villagers about the rules and explained them. The villagers kept on demanding that the elephants be sent elsewhere even after much deliberation. In the end, after the persuasion of the officers, the villagers calmed down and returned to their village. It is noteworthy that these days the Sitanadi range, A team of Sikasir elephant and Chanda elephant is roaming in the surrounding forest including Risgaon. If sources are to be believed, there are about 33 elephants in both the teams. Among them there are three children in the team of Chanda Hathi. According to the Forest Department, on May 12, an elephant of the Sikaser team has been seen around the Maulvi Talab of Birgudi Range by roaming in the Risgaon range's room number-250, 254, 255, 257, 258.
