Telangana will have much lower temperatures after some light rain

Wednesday brought mild rainfall and lower temperatures to the state. According to the IMD, east Vidarbha and the adjacent areas are under the influence of a cyclonic circulation that is located 0.9 km above mean sea level. This circulation is expected to provide mild to moderate rainfall or thundershowers, along with isolated gusts of wind. Up to May 19, a yellow warning has been issued for the same in the majority of the districts.

The highest recorded temperature in the city was 39.9°C in Kapra, while the highest recorded temperature in Jagtial was 42.3°C. As of Wednesday, the maximum temperatures were far below 43°C.

The state has changed its warning status from orange to yellow due to the anticipated additional decrease in maximum temperatures below 40°C during the following five days.

The city is expected to have light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph throughout the next 48 hours. The lowest and maximum temperatures are predicted to be 26 and 37 degrees Celsius, respectively.
