Wular Lake is getting a makeover

The Wular Conservation and Management Authority (WUCMA) has increased efforts to give Wular Lake a makeover evocative of Jammu and Kashmir’s famous Dal Lake Boulevard in an attempt to increase tourism.

The major goal of this project is to guarantee that the lake’s natural beauty is preserved, but WUCMA has also worked up a comprehensive strategy to draw visitors to the stunning landscape of Asia’s biggest natural lake.

Shikaras, or wooden boats, have been erected in the Dal Lake style for convenience, and a superb “viewpoint” has also been built to overlook the lake.

Ghulam Nabi Dar, a Shikara rower, encouraged visitors to this picturesque location. This lake is very lovely.I strongly advise travelers to come here and have fun. The influx of visitors has grown since a lookout was built here. Our job prospects will also continue to increase. In order for us to build additional Shikaras, I ask the Tourism Department to keep a few parks here,” Dar said.

For those seeking peace and beauty in the heart of Kashmir, Wular Lake is a top option.

Traveler Pooja Jain, who was seeing the lake for the first time, said, “I knew about the Wular Lake. I came here to view it today. I feel fantastic. I want to strongly encourage visitors to come here. This location has a very favorable atmosphere.

Currently underway, the project’s goal is to develop a “eco-friendly” boulevard along Wular Lake’s edge. The project is a part of an ongoing endeavor to develop the region into a popular destination, which also includes the ongoing building of a boardwalk connecting Garoora and Banyari.

There’s a tangible sense of excitement among the residents as they await the day when the banks of Wular Lake will reflect the character and energy of Dal Lake’s well-known Boulevard.
