Shubman Gill earns a career-high 25th position, while Kuldeep Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal also move up in the ICC rankings

In the most recent ICC T20I rankings, Indian opener Shubman Gill on Wednesday climbed to a career-high position of 25, while his batting partner Yashasvi Jaiswal and spinner Kuldeep Yadav also saw big rises.

Following his 77 and 9 in the last two games of the five-match series against the West Indies, Gill rose 43 spots.

His previous best finish, a 126 versus New Zealand in Ahmedabad earlier this year, put him in 30th place.

The greatest first-wicket partnership for India was shared by Gill and Jaiswal in the fourth game, when they added 165 for.

Jaiswal “rocketed over a thousand places,” according to the ICC, to move up to 88th.

Yadav, a wrist spinner, is presently rated 28th after climbing 23 spots as a result of his two-wicket performance in the fourth game in Lauderhill, Florida.

The Caribbean players’ ranks rose as a result of their 3-2 victory against India in the series.

Following a 55-ball 85 without being out in the previous game, Brandon King went up five ranks to 13th, Kyle Mayers advanced two spaces to 45th, and Shimron Hetmyer climbed 16 spots to 85th.

Akeal Hosein, a bowler, is now rated 11th among bowlers after moving up three spots, while former captain Jason Holder is listed at 25th.

Romario Shepherd went up 20 places to take the 63rd spot after a four-wicket performance.
